Sri Mahaganapathi Temple Sirsi

Sri Mahaganapathi (Dodda Ganapathi) Temple-Sirsi is one of the famous attraction for devotees. This temple is located near Rayarapete(Rayarpeth) the center of Sirsi town. Here you can see the big Lord Ganesha Idol. So this temple is locally called as "Dodda Ganapathi (Big Ganesha) Temple". According to history this Ganesha Idol was made in "Hoysala style" & it is approximately 400 years old. The height of Idol is approximately 183 cm. & width is 159 cm. The original temple was built in the period of "Sonda Empire", the temple is renovated later.

Shankara Honda Sirsi

Shankara Honda( Shankara Temple Sirsi) is the origin (birth) place of "Aghanashini River" which is located in Sirsi town , Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka state. Aghanashini river is the major river of Uttara Kannada district. This river has created many famous water falls namely: Lusington (Unchalli Falls), Burude Falls etc. Here you can see the Lord "Sri Shankara Temple". This temple is located opposite to "Sri Mahaganapathi (Dodda Ganapathi) Temple-Sirsi.

Ambagiri Sirsi

Ambagiri is a beautiful place located in Sirsi town. This place is famous for Sri Ramakrishna Kalikamatha. From Sirsi bus stand this temple is located about 1.5km distance. Here you can see Goddess Sri Kalikabhavani Temple and Ramakrishna Mutt (Matha)  located on small hill. Now this temple is maintained by Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt (Matha).From this place you can see the beautiful scenery of Sirsi town.

Shri Subrahmanya Temple, Sirsi

One of the oldest temple in Sirsi, Lord Subrahmanya is worshiped here,This temple also has historical background the special event Nilekani Rathotsava locally called as Nilekani Teru(Nilekani Theru,Champashashti Rathotsava) will be held every year on Champa Shashti Day(Hindu Calendar).

 Musukina Bavi is a place situated in Sirsi city.Musukina Bavi means "Well" constructed in the empire of Sonda Kings. At that time this place was using for bathing of Queens. Now a days city municipal created a small park and fountain.
