Ankola  is a panchayat town and a taluka in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka state, India. A small town, it is surrounded by numerous temples. It is on the coast of the Arabian sea, and has many beaches including Baskal Gudda, Nadibag, Shedikuli, Keni, and Belekeri. Ankola is famous for its cashews and its native breed of mango, which is called ishaad

Keni Beach, Ankola

Keni Beach Situated in Ankola Taluk, Uttara Kannada Distict, It is approximately 3 km from Ankola Town on Belabundar road.

Gangavali Beach

Gangavaali Beach is situated few kiloketres from ankola town, At this beach Gangavalli river meets the Arabian sea.

Note: On the way to ankola NH17 you will find the gangavalli river bridge which is also good place with greenery, Just for information we are mentioning here

Bela Beach, Ankola

Bela  Beach Situated in  Ankola Taluk, Uttara Kannada Distict, It is approximately 3 km from Ankola Town on Belabundar road, Very near to Keni Beach.

Honnegudi Beach, Ankola

Katyayani Temple, Aversa,Uttara Kannada

This place is situated in Uttara Kannada District.About 8 kms north of Ankola, 25 Kms from Karwar, Aversa has a famous Katyayani Temple. The distinct feature of this temple is that the shrine is in the shape of a ship. It is family godess of Kharvis, a fishermen clan. The image of godess is said to have been found in the sea. The godess is worshipped with great solemnity during the nine nights of ‘Navarathri’ which precede ‘Dussera’ in October. Besides Kharvis the festival is solemnly attended by many dancing-girls and Konkanis.
