Magod Falls

Magod Falls

Many rivers and streams leap, bounce and fall in the exotic hills of the western ghats. River Bedti is one of them, which cascades as Magod falls. It is situated 17 Kms from Yellapur in Uttara Kannada (North Karnataka) district. Magod falls is amidst hills covered in green and the falls looks like Capuccino (light coffee) flowing with full force, churning froth along the way.  It is very near to Magod village.  River Bedti starts from Unkal Lake in Hubli and joins the Arabian Sea at Gangavali.River Bedthi, cascades from a height of 650 ft. River Bedti flows down in two leaps offering a beautiful view and the surroundings offers an ideal picnic spot. This place is also a trekker's paradise.
On the way to the Magod waterfalls, you will find a pleasant lake called "Kavade Kere" which is spread over an area of 60 acres.
